Today I'm cashing in my gift & our room will be a lovely shade of gray in just a few hours. I tested a few grays & ended up going with this Martha Stewart color, available at Lowes:
MS 176 Clapboard Gray
It's a warmer gray than some others we tried (some looked too purple against the yellow accents). I am in love with my color scheme - it's a good one! Here's some yellow-gray-turquoise inspiration via flickr:

Too weird. I am looking to change the color scheme in our bedroom to grey - yellow - cream and piked up that Clapboard Grey swatch the other day. Seems to be a trendy choice these days!

wow...in the process of repainting right now myself. dark grey walls, white bed, white bedding, canary yellow accents...thanks to domino and faith's influence! i am trying to talk her into drawing me some art work~
Seems to be a popular combination, grey-yellow-cream. Our room sports the same combo. Cream walls, grey on grey bedding, with pops of yellow from the bedside tables & throw pillows. We topped it off with a big shag rug nailed to the wall behind the bed as a headboard stand in.
That color combo is my favorite. It basically IS my living room. love your blog!
I'll have to check out that grey. It's so hard to find one that isn't too blue or too purple. Can't wait to see how it all turns out!
