Happy Weekend

I am off to Texas this weekend to photograph Alejandra & Jose's wedding - I have not traveled out of state for photography so I'm excited & nervous, but I know it's going to be great. Can't wait to meet these two in person.

Our own little Paradise

Otherwise known as Ojai. Living only 15 minutes from this gem of a town is reason enough to stay here forever. What was a spontaneous outing last year has become a tradition - spending Mother's Day afternoon at the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa.  It was lovely, as usual and I am thinking a week there would be amazing. Expensive, but amazing.

Garrett & Acacia's Wedding - a peek

Good morning - here is a very tiny sneak peek into the wedding I photographed last Saturday. Acacia is a long time friend & I simply adore them. I also adore my Contax 645, which this image was shot with. I  used 4 cameras at this wedding: Canon 5d MII, Polaroid, Diana, & Contax.  Mixing up digital & film is a good time and has definitely given the little push I needed going into this season. Flea Market Finds

Got to walk the Alameda flea market with my mom & sister on Sunday. I've been wanting to check it out for months & felt totally overwhelmed being there - it is massive & didn't bring anything big home, but did find some fun accessories.

I also found this AMAZING piece of furniture that was already sold by the time I got to it. I wish I had taken a photo, but was too shy to ask the vendor. It was a turquoise Midcentury shell chair attached to a platform with a low table on one side & a bigger desk/drawer on the other...I want to call it a telephone table, but finding anything similar has not been successful. If anyone knows more about this, let me know...I am now obsessed with finding one. Turquoise! Midcentury! It must be mine.
